[This is where you will find the adventures of the three little Miscreants that follow Aspen around....Otherwise known as...Otter's Extraordinaire! ]
The town was quiet as it was still quite early in the morning. Vendors and merchants were just waking up to begin their duties for the day. Aspen's shop was near the tanner's and four doors down from the Fish Merchant's stall. From the doorway of Ocean's of Stitches was peeking a small, rounded head with tiiinnnyyy little ears against it's skull. Nose twitched and beady little eyes darted this way and that before the small brown critter scuttled out of the doorway and down the street. Keeping to the shadows as much as possible to avoid being stepped on and squished, or having someone think he was a rat. Ohhhh he could smell it! Those lovely, wonderful fish!!! Dart, dart, scuttle and scurry! Around feet and through stalls to find his way to the fish merchant. Once he got there he'd sit up on rump and raise fore paws, judging distance. Why must things always be soo far away?!? Looking around more for something dangling from the edge or possibly about to be dropped that's when he spotted the tail fins of a mackerel dangling over the edge. Success!! Closer and closer to the stall he got until he could stttreeeettttccchhhh up and just barely get the fin in his mouth. Tug! Tug! Tuuuuuuuggggg! It finally fell and PLOP! Right onto the otter and squished him down onto the ground. Oomph! The fish was nearly as big as he was! Mondo wriggled out from under the fish and while the people around were distracted he snagged it in his mouth and started to drag it away. It was slow going and the fish was being dragged through dirty snow so it would end up caked in the ick before he ever got it back home to eat. Oh well! He could throw it in the pool in the basement and wash it. Fiinnnnaaallllyyyy he got the fish home only to find himself tackled by two other little otters..Kodo and Podo. Gah! No! MY PRECIOUS!!! Too late...They were already starting to demolish the mackerel.
